Geografía porteña de María Isabel Gutiérrez Martínez: un transitar inacabado

Resumen

El artículo se elaboró para la ceremonia organizada por la Universidad Alberto Hurtado con motivo de la conmemoración de los 50 años del Golpe de Estado en Chile. El objetivo fue presentar una breve semblanza de las geografías por donde transitó María Isabel Gutiérrez Martínez, detenida desparecida y geógrafa de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Con esta memoria el Colegio de geógrafos y geógrafas de la Quinta Región de Valparaíso realiza un homenaje a María Isabel, destacando su paso por la escuela de geografía de la PUCV, así como su convicción y compromiso social y político durante la dictadura civil militar de Chile.

Abstract

The article was prepared for the ceremony organized by the Alberto Hurtado University on the occasion of the Commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Coup d'état in Chile. The objective of this was to briefly present the geographies through which María Isabel Gutierrez Martínez, a missing detainee and geographer at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, traveled. With this remembrance, the College of Geographers of the Fifth Region of Valparaíso pays tribute to María Isabel, highlighting her time at the PUCV geography school, as well as her conviction and social and political commitment during the civil-military dictatorship of Chile.
